It was a chance encounter during a school-level sports meet that brought Arina Treesa Jose and Jomet Francis together. And after 11 years they entered into holy matrimony on November 27, 2016.
The couple with the blessings from their family took their first steps towards married life with an engagement function on November 24, 2016. On the eve of the engagement the bride's family conducted a fun filled madhuram veppu function which was attended by the close family and friends of the bride.
For their engagement ceremony held at the St Sebastian's Church Thodupuzha, Arina wore a navy blue and golden gown from Jayalakshmi and wore uncut diamond jewellery from Josco Diamonds. Jomet also wore a matching blue and gold bandhgala suit from Peter England.
The church parish hall was decorated according to the theme gold and white and the whole function was planned and executed by St Martin Event planners, owned by the groom himself. The wedding guests later enjoyed a sumptuous feast prepared by Manna Caterers, Muvattupuzha.
There were also dance and other programmes to entertain the guests. The venue was adorned with candles in various shapes and sizes.
As part of their celebration of love and togetherness Jomet and Arina held a romantic pre-wedding photoshoot at various locations, including Vagamon, Kuttampuzha, Illikal Kallu and Ooty.
The religious wedding ceremony was held at the Vijnana Matha Church, Thodupuzha, and the reception that followed was held at the Newman College ground on November 27 evening.
The couple was accompanied to the church by four bridesmaids and groomsmen. While the bridesmaids wore a peach and white gown from Theresa boutique, Thoduppuzha, and the groomsmen wore ash and black suit from Seematti.
The pair's wedding reception will be etched in the memories of the guests forever because of its grandeur and innovativeness in the decor. The theme was peach, white and black and the credit to the success of the grand function again goes to the groom's own firm St Martin Event planners.
For the grand entry of the bride and the groom a dream style 3,000 sq feet red carpet (actually a black carpet) path was created and decorated with fairy lights. The 12,000 square feet reception hall covered with dark canopy was illuminated with fairy lights to resemble the night sky and stars. Peach and white were the other colours that were highlighted in the décor.
The couple was welcomed to the stage with dance performances by Tandav dance group and sparkles. Another highlight of the wedding was the 75 feet wide LED wall which live streamed the wedding function along with the pre-wedding shoot.
The guests were later treated to a lip-smacking feast prepared by Ala-carte caterers. The magical theme and the décor provided a magical experience to the wedding guests.
The wedding was beautifully captured by Fotomagic Wedding Studio.
